The Prostate Specific Antigen test is a blood test for detecting prostate cancer. High PSA levels may indicate the presence of prostate cancer. Still, they may also be benign prostatic hyperplasia or inflammation of the prostate gland (also known as prostatitis) due to an infection or other cause.
