Stroke - symptoms and how to test
When blood flow to the brain is interrupted for some reason or when a blood vessel in the brain bursts, this is called a stroke. A stroke is a medical emergency that may happen to anybody, but there are some risk factors. Your risk of having a stroke increases with age, if you are African American, a man, or if you have a history of cardiovascular disease in your family. The tests are used to determine whether or not a stroke has occurred, the kind of stroke that has occurred, and the underlying cause of the stroke. The tests will help your doctor to plan your treatment.
