Prostatitis - symptoms and how to test

Inflammation (swelling) of the prostate gland is known as prostatitis. The prostate, or penile gland, is located between the penis and the bladder. It secretes a fluid that combines with sperm to form semen. The onset of prostatitis is not age-specific. Men between the ages of 50 and 59 have a threefold increased risk of developing chronic prostatitis compared to younger men (those between the ages of 20 and 39). You're more susceptible to this disease if previously diagnosed with prostatitis. The results of the tests can be used to define the nature of urination issues and pinpoint their cause.
