Gynecomastia - symptoms and how to test
Gynaecomastia, or man boobs, refers to an abnormal breast tissue enlargement in males and young males. It is common in male newborns, prepubescent boys, and middle-aged and older men and affects 35% to 40% of otherwise healthy males at some point in their lives. Teenage boys and middle-aged men have a higher incidence than anyone else. It is possible that a hormone imbalance, namely an imbalance between testosterone and estrogen, is the root cause of Gynecomastia.
