FODMAP intolerance - symptoms and how to test

FODMAP intolerance does not involve an immunological response, unlike gluten sensitivity. Instead, it's an intolerance to particular foods that causes the disease. The sensitivity to these foods is caused by a combination of bacteria in the colon that digest carbohydrates and an excess of water in the large intestine, which results in diarrhoea.
