Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) - symptoms and how to test
DVT, or deep vein thrombosis, is a blood clot in a vein, most commonly in the leg. Having a DVT is severe and might be dangerous. If you develop symptoms of DVT, get medical attention immediately. You're more likely to get a DVT if you're over 60. However, DVT can affect people of any age. Blood clots and other obstructions in the deep veins can be diagnosed with diagnostic tests. The imaging procedure is the standard for identifying DVT.
